Erin Parsley, the founder of Erin Parsley Coaching and Steps to Love®️, is an award-winning professional dancer, choreographer, dance educator, and somatically trained relationship and human design-based life coach who helps people awaken to the joy and pleasure of being in a body, find radical inner freedom, and create fulfilling relationships with themselves and their loved ones.
Having worked with 1000+ clients in over 2200 private sessions (as well as the 5,000+ dance classes she’s led), she’s seen firsthand that getting out of your head and into your body creates a kind of magic. And effective communication and intimacy with oneself and others are learnable skills.
She has helped everyone, from surgeons to tech moguls and CEOs of billion-dollar companies to San Francisco Symphony violinists, find a deeper connection and comfort in themselves and their bodies, more success in their lives, and greater harmony in their relationships.
She has been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle and Chicago Tribune, named a Top San Francisco Choreographer by Giggster, a Top Thumbtack Pro 6 years in a row, and has been hired by companies such as Google, Zynga, and the Felton Institute.
Erin received her sex and relationship coach training at the Somatica Institute®. She has been dancing at an elite level as a ballerina since the age of nine and has mastered many forms of dance, including the healing art of mindful improvisational movement. A lifelong devotee to the path of awakening, she has studied many forms of spiritual knowledge. Her favourite book as a teenager was Siddartha by Herman Hesse. Her favourite books in her twenties were The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and the mystical, ecstatic poems of Rumi and Hafiz. She is fascinated by all forms of human awareness systems, from the Enneagram to human design.
Erin’s life story is a testament to the power of human resilience. She has transformed from survivor to thriver. The defining moment of this radical shift was finding the courage to press charges against her former dance teacher, who sexually abused her. She endured a 2-year legal process, ending up in court and his ultimate conviction, safeguarding his future victims from harm (which was her intention). She found the inner strength and courage to use her voice to advocate for herself and her other victims at a time when this was still a taboo topic (9 years before the #metoo movement gained traction). She has since worked to raise awareness and champion justice as a speaker and leader in the One Billion Rising Movement.
For the last decade, she has devoted herself to mastering the art of communication and conscious relationships. She has learned from and studied with a variety of mentors, including Celeste Harel, Ph.D., Danielle Hirschman, M.A. (Somatica Method), Baeth Davis (Life Purpose Mastery/Human Design), Dr. Alison Ash (TurnON.love), Carol Allen (Love is in the Stars), Noah Rothschild (Heal the Child Within), Arielle Ford, and Katherine Woodward. Thomas Calling in the One, Dr. Zhana Vrangalova, Ph.D., OpenSmarter, Dr. Ali Binazir, The Tao of Dating, Shaun Galanos, The Love Drive, Chris Voss, The Black Swan Group, and NVC, Nonviolent Communication
In addition to these studies, she brings an extremely wide range of diverse life and relationship experiences to her work with her clients. There is not much she hasn’t tried, and her open-minded, non-judgmental, and compassionate approach allows people of all persuasions to feel at ease and welcome in her practice.
As a bisexual+ woman, Erin is committed to celebrating humans in all their expressions (no matter their gender identity, sexual orientation, race, size, or abilities) and adores working with the LGBTQ+ community.
